My Heart is in VARs

During the past six months, Telarus has almost shut down - well, our head has been down anyway - working feverishly on the new VAR Program. The more web sites and features we build, the more ideas are generated by our agents. From moving links around, to adding new telecom equipment vendors into the VARSearch profile, to completely redesigning the user interface - it's almost "done" now.

To make sure all of our agents understand the program, which has evolved dramatically since they were first introduced to the concept a few years ago, we are authoring manual, recording training calls, and producing "exams" to reinforce all of the information about the VAR program.

Likewise, I am also in the process of performing my Google magic on VARNetwork.com. Right now it is PR0, due in large part to the length of time that it sat half-baked with broken links. It may take some time for Google to realize that the site is now alive and well, and when it does look for keywords with "VAR" in them. That is my strategy; to rank well with "VAR" so that it will carry over to other 2-word keyword combinations like "Cisco VAR", "VAR technician", etc.

Today was a very special day in the VAR program ... we generated 3 legitimate leads (each lead being sent to 5 different VARs to fight for the business). That's a total of 15 equipment lead emails going out to our new VAR partners. It's hard not to get excited when you see something that was once just a figment of your imagination turn into something tangible and viable. Long live the VAR program!!!
